AI Commerce Workflow Evaluation: Evidence and Demo Protocol

A source-based evaluation of AI commerce workflow claims, with acceptance scenarios for inventory, listings, and buyer support.

Evaluation scope and current findings

This is a documentation review and a reproducible demonstration protocol, published by Solid Commerce. It does not report an authenticated production execution test or a measured customer outcome. The source findings below were reviewed on November 7, 2026. Execution recordings and transcripts will be added only after the corresponding demonstration is completed and reviewed.

What the product sources establish

The practical finding is that an AI label does not establish operational equivalence. Compare data access, proposal quality, permitted actions, operator decisions, and result verification as separate stages.

Scenario 1: inventory and order investigation

Illustrative input: an order is awaiting allocation and a vendor feed no longer supports its expected source. Retrieve the matching order and stock records. Record quantity semantics, timestamps, and missing data. Identify whether the proposed alternative is permitted. An acceptable result either confirms the supported action or identifies the operator decision still required. Overlapping stock lists must not be summed without establishing independence.

Scenario 2: marketplace listing correction

Illustrative input: a channel rejects a listing for a missing required attribute. Retrieve the reported error and applicable field requirement. Prepare a correction only when a trusted product source supplies the value. Record the review step, submission status, and channel outcome. Missing source data should produce a request for information.

Scenario 3: order-aware buyer support

Illustrative input: a buyer asks for a shipment update. Retrieve matching order and tracking context. Check whether the proposed answer uses supported facts. Demonstrate review or the configured sending policy, plus a handoff for conflicting records. A generated answer alone does not establish successful delivery.

Evidence to attach to each demonstration

Record the date, product/environment, connection scope, sanitized input, transcript or recording, observed result, and limitations. Review both a normal path and an exception. Keep identifiers and customer information out of public artifacts. Report task timing only when the baseline and method are recorded.
